Google Search has been disabled on new Nokia devices?

Internet Explorer's default search provider optionsLet’s be honest here, even if you are a Microsoft fan boy, there is no question that Google Search is better than Bing in everyway. Now lets me be clear, both of these search engines have their own advantage and shortcoming, and it all comes down to your own personal preference, but it’s always nice to have an option rather than forced to use right? Even know that the search button on a Windows Phone always leads to Bing, the automatic search in Internet Explorer allows you to choose your default search engine, at least until now.

Some of those who are the proud new owner of the first 8.1 Lumia handset spotted something, as they do their searching on IE11 for Windows Phones, the setting now does not give them Google as the prefer searching engine. However, this limitation appears only on some device, and the other 930 owners and 630 owners in the States have no complaints about this particular problem. For now, we do know if this is just a glitch or a real change that Microsoft will make to Windows Phone.

Stay tune for an official statement from Microsoft!
