More to come from Microsoft at its very own event in China, the company just made this Windows release to be one of the biggest one in the company history, if not all of operating system history. This might come as a pleasant surprise for those who are using a pirate version of Windows 7 right now: You are welcome to upgrade Windows 10 for free as well.
Making an effort to connect with the Chinese market, 2/3 of which are using unofficial version of Windows on their computers, Microsoft is making a strategic move to set everything back to their control:
We are upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10″ – Terry Myerson to Reuters.
Myerson said Windows 10 would be released globally sometime “this summer”. – Reuters
Microsoft is also announcing new partners for its mobile platform: Lenovo. The company has made its reputation for its Windows product in the tablet and laptop form-factor, and it’s now ready to take a shot at Windows’ mobile platform.
