For the past few weeks, HTC was the main headline with its newest phablet since 2013. With all the leaks and the hinting from the company itself, we expected to be surprised with how much HTC is departing from its original design language, with a physical home button and a reduction in size from the One Max. So, brace yourself, ladies and gentlemen, because the One E9+ is in town… Well, China’s towns.
Design wise, the phone is quite similar to the One E8 from yesteryear, with the exception of being bigger size. The phone features a matte-finish with metal trims around the phones and the camera. Around front, we have the same look from the HTC One M9, from the BoomSound, to camera position. And yes, there is no physical button.
Oddly enough, HTC did not provide us the full spec-sheet. All we know so far is that the phone features a 5.5-inch QHD display, 20MP main camera and Ultra Pixel camera in the front. Many sites have speculated this as “possible wrong information.” So hold your breath, as HTC might fix it in just a few days.
