Lumia 530 pops up in Asia retailer

lumia-530Another day, another cheap device- that seems to be Nokia and Microsoft’s strategy for the last few months with only a few low-end devices and 1 high-end device. After the Lumia 630 and Lumia 635, we are now looking at the new mid-to-low-end device, the successor of the Lumia 520, the Lumia 530, has come up in a Vietnamese online retail store.

Allegedly, the handset features a 4-inch ClearBlack display and a resolution of 480×854. Runs it is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 clocks at 1.2GHz, accompany it is a 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-on storage. The device also includes a 5MP camera and powers all of these are a 1430mAh battery. Now, the phone in the picture is blue, but the site claims that this device comes in gray, white, orange and green, still no sign of the color cyan.

Ok, since the phone has yet to be announced officially by Nokia or Microsoft, this might simple just a placeholder for the Lumia 530, and the specification might not be accurate. But the phone has recently passed FCC and photo that leaked out of China a few weeks ago match the description of this device and further support the chance of the phone being released.

But here is the question, with the Lumia 630 and 635 have almost the same specification and design, the question is what is the point of having this device on the market? Tell me your thought!
