Whether you like it or not, you have to admit, LG did one hell of a job with the G3, and it’s no surprise that a lot of people like it. And that also has proven with LG’s shipment numbers in South Korea. During the second quarter of the year, LG has shipped, the total of around 14.5 million devices, the growth of shipment most likely has a lot to do with the release of LG G3.
To be more specific, the growth in shipment has grown about 20% if you compare this quarter to last year quarter, and one third of the shipment units are LTE-capable handsets. Sale of the company’s handset has increased 16$ from the second quarter of 2013m up to 3.51 billion dollars, this is one of the highest since the first quarter of 2010. This open the profit for the mobile device division, which made $83.4 billion in this quarter (Q2), and stop the 3 consecutive quarter of losses of profit. These numbers as I mentioned, has a lot to do with the LG G3 and its mid-to-low-end devices L series.
