Even know it has been more than six months since Microsoft announced the Lumia 735, it is yet to be picked up by any major US carrier. That is about to change, as many sources suggest that the Big Red will be carrying the Lumia 735 to bolster its mid-range lineup. The device is reportedly due to launch in May.
Back in September, we already saw rumors emerged about the possibility of Americas’ biggest carrier to be carrying this handset, but the story faded after a while. Well, it surfaced again, as Windows Central firmly believes that the device will be launched in May by Verizon. Why May? The site draws the connection between the release of Update 2 and Build event to the handset. What will most likely happen is that the company will announce the phone’s availability at Build in San Francisco. Then, as May comes, Update 2 will also be available to the device.
To refresh your memory, the Nokia Lumia 735 is a mid-range device, announced back at IFA in September of 2014, alongside the Lumia 830. The handset features a 4.7-inch OLED Clear Black HD display (720p: 1280 x 720), a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC clocks at 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM.
