Motorola and Verizon officially announced the Droid Turbo

droid-turbo-lineup (1)Well, all the annoying leaks have finally come to an end. After weeks (or months) of rumors and leaks, Verizon and Motorola had finally decided to unveil their latest flagship Droid, say hi to the Droid Turbo!

Consistent with the leaks and rumors we got. The Droid Turbo is a 5.2-inch handset, features a big old 3900mAh battery. Yes, I know, it is huge, which gives Verizon confident to guarantee that the phone will give you at most two days of usages on one single charge. While we are talking about battery, Motorola understands the need for faster charge time and energy to go through the day. So, with all the feedback, Motorola adds its Turbo Charger feature, provides users up to 8 hours of battery life after 15 minutes of charging.

Designs it as a specification-power, the device runs on a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, operates on KitKat 4.4, but will soon be updated to to Lollipop before the end of the year. Next stop, we got a 5.2-inch QHD (2K resolution) display. Around back, we got a 21 MP camera with 4K recording capability. Again, focus on flagship ability, most of the features of the Moto X like Moto Display, Action and Assist are all included. In addition, Motorola has a big focus on durability, which resulted in the phone has material option like ballistic nylon and metalized glass fiber. The company will also give you a one-time/contract year replacement offer if you cracked your screen.

The phone is now available for pre-order for $200 (32GB model) and $250 (64GB) with a two-year contract. The full retail price for both models fall at around $600-$650. The handset will be available in black for Ballistic Nylon variant (with storage option of 32GB and 64GB), and the metallic glass fiber comes in red and black (but with only 32GB of storage).

So, are you out for a new Droid? What do you think about the Droid Turbo?
