Just like any year, HTC is once again the champ of leaking their own device. It seems like everyday, we got something new out of the alleged HTC Hima (One M9). Now, there are some questions of naming. Last year, HTC caught everyone by surprise when it decided to stick with the code name One M8, and ultimately changed the HTC One (2013) to One M7. So, will HTC stay with the M series or make another departure. Well, from what we see in HTC’s website cached, the next flagship will be the HTC One M9.
In an HTML file from HTC’s very own servers page, the file clearly states the “HTC One M9.” Next to that is a promo tagline, presumably, is the advertising campaign for HTC this year: “One Life.” It most likely also connected to the MWC event coming up in about two weeks.
Now, just to be clear, this is nothing close to an official confirmation, but we are more than 90 percent sure that this is what HTC will be sticking with. This also shows the new direction that the company is taking with the One series.
