Wow, this week has been CRAZY! Here is something that happened in the past week:
Let’s start with Apple!
After numerous reports, Apple finally unveiled the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Both of these phones are almost identical spec wise, they both have an 64-bit A8 chip. A few differences (besides the size) are the resolution of the display-the iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch 1334*760 display while the 6 Plus has 5.5-inch 1080p display-and OIS on the iPhone 6 Plus while the iPhone 6 features the conventional lens similar to the iPhone 5s. We also got the new Apple Watch, which variety of colors, wristband and variants, as well as featuring sensors like pulse rate monitor. While the two iPhone variants are already on pre-order and will be available next week, we will have to wait until 2015 to get the AppleWatch. One last bit was the launch date for iOS: September 17th, which is next week.
Next stop, we got Microsoft official news and some rumors about the Nokia brand:
First off, I got good news for those who are planning to get the Lumia 830, as AT&T has formally announced that they will be carrying the Lumia 830 for the US, while the Lumia 735 will be carry by Verizon to fill its gap of affordable smartphones. Secondly, we got rumors that Microsoft is on its way to erase the Nokia brand from the Lumia series, we also got a leaked bezel of a mystery Lumia device to confirm it. As of right now, the only question left is what will be the name that will tag along ‘Lumia’. There are some possibilities: Microsoft Mobility, Microsoft Lumia. Also, what ever happen to “Nokia by Microsoft”?
Lastly, we got some Android News:
While Microsoft and Apple dominated the news this week, the Android Land has been awfully quite. As we were paying a lot of attention in Berlin, Motorola announced the Moto X and Moto G. So, what is it here, well, this week, the Moto G and the Moto 360 went on sale. We also got some leaks for the next Droid, as its paperwork went through the FCC under the name “QUARK_VERIZON.”
That’s what happened this week folks, have a great weekend.
