While it might seem that HTC is releasing a Desire every month, compare to other manufacturers. The company has a relatively small portfolio. Well, with the loss in profit from the latest quarter report, combine with the not-so-successful HTC One M9, HTC got to find some way to make more money. One way to do it: More devices. HTC is developing a new series to add to its line-up and will be ready to be launch next year.
HTC’s chairperson Cher Wang and its CEO declares that we will see a new line-up in the second half of this year. For the moment, the company won’t say anything more about it, so it isn’t clear if this new family tree will be worldwide or region specific. We also don’t know if HTC meant for this to be on a lower-range or at the flagship level. Lastly, since HTC has two different series with Android devices, we might be looking at a Windows 10 Mobile series, as the operating system is launching in the same time frame (Windows 10 Home and Professional will be available on July 29th, and Mobile will be coming later in the fall).
The possibility is wide open; we’ll wait and see what HTC has for us in the second half of this year.
