gs6-attEveryone know this time of the year is Apple’s time. WWDC is today, and we are waiting to see what Apple has in stored for us. But it’s two hours away, so, why not entertain ourselves with some new devices. Specifically, let’s look the phone that Samsung attempts to steal the spotlight from Apple this morning. Let’s say hello to the newest lineup of the Galaxy series, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

Let’s get the spec out of the way. Samsung makes this the best high-end rugged smartphone in the market. Most of the specification is the same as the GS6. We are looking at a slightly smaller 5.1-inch QHD OLED display. Underneath is the Octa core Exynos SoC. In the optic department, we have the same pair of cameras: a 16-MP shooter in the back and 5MP in the front. Powered it all is a giant 3500mAh battery. Unlike previous rumors, there has been no evidence to suggests the phone has microSD card slot or removable battery.

Like any other previous Active iteration, the S6 Active has the certified IP68 ratings, which means the device is dust and water proof-“submersible up to 1.5m of water and up to 30 mins”. Of course, the phone also comes with Samsung’s suite of software.

This handset is an AT&T-exclusive device, with the full price at $695 in the States. Starting on June 12th, you can get the phone with three color options: Camo White, Camo Blue, and Gray.
