As compelling as the Z2 is, the fact that it’s not available in the US is the turn off since the US consumer is too dependent on the carriers to buy their phone, and pay full price for a Smartphone is not a popular way. Well, a month ago, Sony releases a render of the Z2 with Verizon logo on it, Sony explains that it was a mock-up image that was mistakenly posted online. Although it was a mistake, it never took away our hope of one see the phone on the carrier’ store shelves.

Well, the reason why Verizon model was delayed because of the new VoLTE. Allegedly, the Verizon model will support LTE-Advanced and the model have to go through testing. To keep the secret, the Z2 is now testing under the codename the Sony Sirius Viv with the model D6503.

We can expect to see this phone in the middle of next quarter.
